8th Dan Sinmoo Black Belt Promotion
Doju Ji Presenting 8th Dan Certificate
On 5.24.2011 Rabbi Master Stuart Rosenberg was promoted to 8th Dan Black Belt by the Founder of Hapkido and Sinmoo Hapkido, Doju (founder) Ji Han Jae.
Master Rosenberg has been studying and teaching Hapkido for over 32 years and was awarded Chief Master status by Ji.
Among some of the skills required for 8th Dan was knowledge of revival and pressure point techniques for healing and emergency first aid in case of serious and non serious injuries that may occur in martial arts training and everyday living. Also the study of Sinmoo’s highest forms of meditation and ki development were part of Master Rosenberg’s 8th Dan training. In attendance was GM Master Frank Croaro, Master Tony Pak, and we were later joined by GM Larry Dorsey. All three of these masters are Doju Ji’s oldest and very senior Sinmoo students from the early 80′s when Doju Ji first came to the United States.
Master Rosenberg said, “Its always the highest honor for me to be trained by Doju Ji Han Jae a living legend in the martial arts world. Studying, training and teaching Sinmoo Hapkido is an integral part of my life something I hope I can do for many many years to come.”
